NetPlay TV plc announces the launch of a new TV programme called Celebrity TV Bingo.

Celebrity TV Bingo will be on the air this summer, it will be a daily programme on Sky channel 847. Celebrity TV Bingo will be hosted by Greg Scott, the show will also feature celebrity guests such as Jim Bowen and Cannon and Ball.

The launch of this new TV show proves that bingo games are growing rapidly throughout Britain. The recent rush of Bingo TV shows are being compared to what happened a few years ago with online bingo. In 2003, the first bingo site was launched in the UK, since then hundreds of sites have been launched and now thousands of people PLAY BINGO ONLINE every day.

If Bingo TV will ever become more popular than Online remains to be seen. But this is not likely due to the popularity and the features offered by Online Bingo sites.

A huge 81% of the online bingo players have a membership in a bingo club or organization and online bingo players are always engaged in some other activity while playing bingo online, like listening to music or chatting with friends or even playing other side games.

While these statistics were originally compiled as market research for online bingo website operators they contain interesting information for online bingo players.

A recent online bingo survey revealed some interesting statistics about online bingo players. The intention of this survey was to help online bingo site operators to understand what criteria’s online bingo players were using when choosing a site to play bingo online. The results are interesting, to say the least, and are sometimes amusing.

A 75% of the online bingo players have won at least once between $1,000 and $5,000 while the other 25% won at some point something between $100 to $500. More than 40% of online bingo players who took the survey stated that they have been playing online bingo for over 5 years, 20% for more than 2 years and another 20% less than 2 years.

When asked about their favourite side games, Keno came first with a smashing 99% of approval. Tuesdays and Thursdays seem to be the best days to play online bingo, followed by Saturdays and Sundays.

Online bingo players prefer bingo sites without downloads rather than the ones that a download is needed to play bingo online. The survey also questioned players about their favourite type of online bingo, the 75 ball game or the 90 ball game, the 75 ball bingo won with a smashing 69.2% against 30.8% from 90 ball bingo.
